In April 22-26, 2024, we implemented the second edition of the Erasmus blended intensive program under the title “In someone’s shoes”.
The project engaged

Participants of the event for 5 days “stepped into the shoes” of people with disabilities. They experienced various barriers and difficulties, tested the possibilities and tried to find themselves in a different reality.
The event included components:
- lectures: statistics, scale, demographics, type of support, accessibility, social communication, cultural context related to disability in the country, exclusion;
- “I take on the role” workshops: a person with a mobility disability, a blind and visually impaired person, an upper limb amputee, a parent with a child with a disability;
- urban game: mobility vs. architectural and social barriers;
- Study visits to institutions related to disability;
- Integration and sports activities: Tai Chi, EDUballs, Bounce Fit;
- Accessibility of public places and cultural and leisure institutions on the example of Wroclaw – exhibition “The Mystery of Banksy”
- Reflective presentation;
- individual reflective survey.
The event was organized and implemented by the Erasmus Team, under the coordination of the Vice-Rector for Science and Foreign Cooperation Prof. Małgorzata Słowińska-Lisowska, PhD, and Monika Ilecka-Folcik, MA.
The didactic program was prepared and led by:
- Dominika Zawadzka PhD – assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Wroclaw University of Health and Sport Sciences, certified occupational therapy teacher (ENOTHE), accessibility coordinator. Organizer of many student volunteer activities, has worked with the Special Olympics for over 10 years
- Rafal Bugaj PhD – assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Wroclaw University of Health and Sport Sciences, certified teacher of occupational therapy in higher education (ENOTHE), physiotherapist. He cooperates with many institutions in the Wroclaw area in connection with internships and student volunteers.

- Madara Lapsa, Liepajas University- academic teacher in the area of social and pedagogical work and Head of the Addiction Prevention Center of the Social Service of the Lipawa City Council, chairwoman of the board of the Liepāja Foundation;
- Anja Bašak, Veleučilište Ivanić-Grad – academic teacher in the area of health care, physiotherapy and nursing;
- Sara Wawrzyniak PhD, AWF Wrocław – assistant teaching and research professor in the Department of Team Sports Games, member of the EDUball/Brainball Team and Dean’s Representative for the Erasmus+ Program at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport.
- Zofia Niekurzak PhD, AWF Wrocław – academic teacher in the area of recreation.
