Short-term internship at climbing wall in Austria- report of students

The Alpine capital of Austria, Innsbruck, is home to the largest and most modern climbing wall in Europe. It is here that the world’s best sport climbers and national teams worldwide. The Kletterzentrum is a fantastic place for both sport climbers and those who want to spend their free time actively, with family and friends.

In January, students of AWF Wrocław held short-term internships at the Kletterzentrum as part of the Erasmus + program, students from AWF Wrocław had the unique opportunity to intern at the Kletterzentrum. This wasn’t just a theoretical experience, they got to see firsthand how a world-class climbing center operates, and even took part in organized trainings. During their internships, the AWF Wrocław students were privileged to be trained by Austrian instructors. This unique opportunity enhanced their climbing and methodological skills, preparing them to conduct classes for different age groups.

The internship at the Kletterzentrum was made possible by the vision and efforts of Patryk Czermak, PhD. As the originator and organizer, Dr. Czermak, who also conducts instructor specializations in rock climbing, played a crucial role in providing this valuable learning opportunity.
