Erasmus+ Pot Luck –  movie evening, talks, and inspiration

As part of the National Erasmus Day, AWF Wrocław hosted a special film evening combined with a discussion on international mobility. Participants watched “Pot Luck”, followed by a conversation about the real-life experiences of students taking part in the Erasmus+ programme. The event was organised by the Erasmus Centre and held under the honorary patronage of the European Commission, with support from representatives of Erasmus+ InnHUB – National Agency and ESN Poland.

A significant contribution to the organisation was made by members of our Erasmus Vibes Club, who supported both the preparations and the coordination of the event. Thanks to their enthusiasm, commitment and openness, the evening took place in a warm and professional atmosphere.

After the screening, a discussion panel was held with guests representing various institutions involved in student mobility, as well as students with first-hand international experience. The panel included:

  • Dr hab. Aneta Stosik, Prof. AWF – Vice-Rector for Development and External Cooperation
  • Paulina Kufel – Press Officer of the Regional Representation of the European Commission
  • Łukasz Strączek – Student Support and Development Centre
  • Magdalena Krygiel-Bartoszewicz – Foreign Language Centre
  • Sławomir Światała – Accessibility Centre
  • Jakub Zieliński – Erasmus+ InnHUB, National Agency
  • Szymon Cichy – Erasmus Student Network Poland
  • Amanda Wais – student of AWF Wrocław
  • Dawid Kutryn – event moderator

During the discussion, the panelists compared the film’s storyline with real experiences of mobile students. They addressed topics such as cultural adaptation, language challenges, daily life abroad, and the development of social and professional competences. The experts also shared practical advice on preparing for mobility and building meaningful relationships in an international environment.

A particularly important and proud moment for us was the presence of our student, Amanda Wais, as one of the experts. A highly engaged participant and one of the most experienced “Erasmus seniors”, she spoke about her mobility journey with great professionalism and enthusiasm, truly inspiring the audience.

The event highlighted that Erasmus is not only about studying in another country, but above all a unique opportunity to grow in independence, openness and flexibility—skills that significantly shape future careers and personal development.

The film concluded with the message:
“Erasmus is a start.”

We warmly encourage you to explore, travel, gain your own experiences, and join our Erasmus Vibes Club!
