On 7 and 8 October, incoming Erasmus students from Italy, Spain and Turkey had the opportunity to get to know the university and the city during specially organised Orientation Days.
The event started with registration at the Welcome Centre, where the new participants received their welcome packs. After a short get-to-know-you moment, a presentation about AWF Wroclaw took place at the Erasmus Meeting Point. Students learned about the structure of the university, the rich didactic offer, as well as the sporting opportunities that await them in the coming months. The Q&A session was joined by a group of AWF students, who are well acquainted with the charms (as well as the responsibilities) of students at the sunny university.
After the presentation, the whole team went on a tour of the campus. The students had the opportunity to see the sports facilities, the library, the dormitory and other key areas that will become their daily surroundings.
On the second day, it was time to explore the city. The participants visited the most important sights of Wrocław – including the Market Square, Ostrów Tumski and the Centennial Hall Complex.
The highlight of the day was a joint lunch at a restaurant serving traditional Polish dishes. The students had the opportunity to try pierogi, żurek (sour soup) and bigos, which generated enthusiasm and a desire to further explore Polish culture.
Orientation Days ended in a friendly atmosphere, with new friendships and first impressions that will certainly stay with them for a long time.
